Descrizione

FluorX™ PVDF [polyvinylidene fluoride] is manufactured using Arkema Kynar®. PVDF is an excellent choice for applications requiring chemical resistance, high heat resistance, and superior abrasion resistance.

PVDF [polyvinylidene fluoride] is a high-performance polymer that offers exceptional thermal and chemical resistance.

Rated for use up to 130°C: This filament can be used in demanding applications under the most extreme conditions. PVDF is resistant to most chemicals and solvents, making it ideal for applications exposed to harsh environments.

The advantages of PVDF:

  • High thermal properties: CUTTING 130°C
  • Excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, such as automotive fluids, oils, gases, lubricants, fully halogenated hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids and bases
  • Non-hygroscopic, it doesn't absorb moisture. Drying is not necessary!
  • Inherently UV resistant with very stable HF bonds.
  • Low smoke and flame characteristics with a V-0 rated base resin
  • Long-term hydrolytic stability
  • Resistant to nuclear radiation
  • Excellent abrasion resistance – similar to nylon and UHMW-PE for high wear applications

Recommended print settings:

  • Extruder: between 245 and 265°C depending on the printer. Some require temperatures up to 280°C.
  • Platform temperature: 90 – 110°C
  • Bed preparation: Nanopolymer adhesive gives us the best results.
  • Other: No or slow cooling fan. A good starting point is to print at 40-60 mm/s.
  • Drying Instructions: PVDF does not absorb moisture and does not require drying!
  • Safety Note: This polymer begins to degrade and break down at temperatures above 290°C. Please keep your extruder temperature below this point to avoid degradation, gas formation, and loss of mechanical properties.
