PA6/66 from BigRep is a highly durable 3D printing filament for industrial applications. It is a lightweight thermoplastic with high stiffness and heat and chemical resistance. Its high workability and mechanical strength make it an excellent candidate for most industrial applications, particularly in the automotive and aerospace sectors.
Functionally similar to PA6 nylon, a common injection molding material, PA6/66 is ideal for molding end-use parts or prototyping, with material properties nearly identical to final mass-produced parts. The material's durability and scalability make it a choice not only for industrial transportation applications, but also for the development of electrical housings, cooling and heating systems, as well as molds and vacuum forming.
Prototyping and producing full-scale PA6/66 parts with the same material properties as a traditional plastics manufacturing product can provide substantial shortcuts in the product development cycle, circumventing frequent late-stage iteration problems and avoiding the associated exorbitant expenses.
