This high-performance 3D printing filament is manufactured using ULTEM™ 9085 PEI (polyether imide) resin. PEI is a high-performance amorphous polymer that combines excellent thermal properties, extraordinary dimensional stability, inherent flame resistance, and good chemical resistance. Filaments made with ULTEM™ 9085 resin offer the ability to create parts with excellent high-temperature properties thanks to a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 185°C. ULTEM™ 9085 PEI resin is produced by Sabic Innovative Polymers and is one of the leading high-performance polymers in the aerospace industry.
