AMS31F is Sabic's tear-away support filament for use with ULTEM AM9085F filament. The material maintains rigidity during printing and offers exceptional flexibility during post-processing, allowing structural supports to be removed more easily at room temperature, which can reduce the time required to produce finished parts. AMS31F and ULTEM AM9085F filaments are compatible with industrial printers with open filament systems, subject to user verification.
Advantages of Sabic AMS31F filament
Sabic's patent-pending support filament is designed for use with ULTEM AM9085F filament to provide excellent adhesion during printing with easy removal after printing. The filament's white color provides a sharp contrast to ULTEM's amber color, allowing operators to more quickly identify structures that need to be removed. Standard tools such as pliers, blades, and spatulas can be used to assist in substrate removal while the part is still hot when exiting the print oven and even after the part has cooled. Appropriate protective gear should be worn to avoid injury when handling heated substances.
Applications of Sabic AMS31F filament
AMS31F is used for prints in combination with ULTEM or similar high-temperature polymers. The material allows for more complex ULTEM geometries and therefore greater design freedom.
