The Hyper Core filament line is defined as a new generation series of professional and industrial fiber reinforced composite filaments for Hyper FFF®.
Fiber-reinforced composite filaments are the ideal material for producing end-use parts and heavy-duty applications that require superior strength, stiffness, and heat resistance. However, printing fiber-reinforced filaments at high speeds presents many challenges, such as reduced flowability and poorer interlayer bond quality, as well as faster nozzle wear.
To overcome these challenges, Raise3D's Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament was specially developed using a specialized extrusion technology to form a fiber-rich inner core with the majority of carbon fibers well-aligned and distributed. During high-speed FFF printing, the exceptional thermal conductivity of the carbon fiber core accelerates the filament's melting at the hot end. Additionally, the residual thermal energy of the fiber-rich inner core promotes interlayer welding of the ABS across adjacent lines to form a smooth and durable part. Hyper Core ABS CF15 filament is designed for rapid melting speed and to balance print quality, performance, and cost.
Hyper Core ABS CF15 inherits the excellent impact toughness, good chemical resistance, and low moisture absorption of the ABS terpolymer matrix. Furthermore, the special fiber distribution improves strength and stiffness in the Z-direction, as well as extending nozzle life. It is an ideal choice for mass production of industrial-grade applications requiring high performance, stability, and efficiency.
