A versatile and multipurpose material
Hyper Speed ABS filament is specifically designed for use with the Hyper FFF® solution from the Hyper Speed filament line. When printing at high speed, regular ABS filament is rapidly fed into the heating block, giving the polymer very little time to transition from solid to molten, which can cause nozzle clogging and poor bond quality between layers. Additionally, regular ABS filament can be prone to warping and delamination of the printed part when printing at high speed without a heated chamber.
With optimized molecular weight and stiffness, Hyper Speed ABS filament can print at speeds up to 300 mm/s thanks to its faster melting and homogeneous cooling, resulting in a lower temperature gradient and lower internal stress in the printed part. Hyper Speed ABS filament has superior heat resistance compared to Hyper Speed ABS filament. With virtually no warping and improved interlayer adhesion, Hyper Speed ABS filament is also ideally suited for many functional prototyping parts, tooling, and fittings, with a wide range of post-processing and finishing options (e.g., polishing and acetone vapor sanding).
