Reinforced carbon fiber
Nanovia PEI CF is a composite filament based on Ultem 1010 and carbon fiber that allows you to obtain prints that can withstand extreme conditions and do not warp.
Description
Developed from Ultem 1010 PEI, Polyetherimide and carbon fibres, Nanovia PEI CF is a composite filament that is stiffer than native PEI (Young’s modulus 4285 MPa versus 3200 MPa), benefiting from better dimensional control and greater stability.
Its operating temperature of up to 200°C and UL-V0 certified non-flammability make it an ideal material for components that must not deform under extreme stress and heat.
Chemically inert, Nanovia PEI CF is applicable to the most extreme environments.
Advantages
- Usable temperatures up to 200°C
- High thermal stability
- Better stiffness than native PEI
- Can be used for autoclave sterilization
- Resistant to gamma rays
- Solvent resistant
Application recommendations
Conservation
- Store in an airtight container with desiccant, away from direct sunlight.
- Dehydrate for 4 hours at 60°C before printing after prolonged exposure to humidity.
Press
- Extrusion temperature: between 380 and 420 °C
- Heated bed temperature: > 140 °C
- Enclosure temperature: > 120 °C
- It is recommended to use a reinforced nozzle, suitable for abrasive materials.
Health and safety
Press
It is recommended that Nanovia PEI CF be printed in a room with air extraction or using appropriate respiratory equipment.
Post-treatment
Standard PPE (dust mask, gloves) is recommended
Certifications
RoHS certification of Nanovia PEI CF
