Virucide flexible ISO 21702

This flexible filament with virucidal properties is ISO 21702 certified for its antiviral activity. Nanovia VX's innovative formula (patent pending) has proven effective in preventing and eliminating the spread of viruses and pathogens.

Description

With Nanovia Flex VX, you can create flexible, virucidal parts with absorbent properties. Specifically designed for additive manufacturing, these filaments are suitable for limiting the spread of biological contaminants and are ISO 21702:2019 certified.

The virucidal properties of Nanovia Flex VX allow the elimination of 95.3% of the H1N1 virus after a contact time of just 1 hour, and almost 100% after 4 hours.

With its powerful properties and no harm to the touch, Nanovia Flex VX is suitable for creating flexible everyday objects:

  • Handles and flexible handle coverings
  • Antibacterial orthopedic insoles
  • Tactile mats
  • Coating of computer equipment

Properties of virucides

The virucidal test was conducted according to ISO 21702 by an independent laboratory under standardized conditions, on FFF 3D printed test samples using the H1H1 influenza virus.

Other formats

The Nanovia VX product range consists of 2 types of 3D filaments, developed to limit the spread of infectious viruses:

  • PLA VX: Print everyday objects with ease
  • Flex VX: flexible filament that absorbs shock and distortion (soles....).

These two formulas are also available in pellet form for plastic injection.

    Application recommendations


    Conservation

    • Store in an airtight container with desiccant, away from direct sunlight.
    • Dehydrate for 4 hours at 60°C before printing after prolonged exposure to humidity.

    Subsequent treatment

    • Nanovia Flex VX cannot be sanded

      Subsequent treatment

      • Do not apply paints or coatings to parts printed with Nanovia Flex VX, to preserve its virucidal properties.
