Descrizione

Nanovia ABS AF is an FFF filament reinforced with aramid fibers, suitable for creating non-conductive and impact-resistant parts, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C. Aramid fibers, less abrasive and lighter than carbon and glass fibers, improve the material's mechanical properties and facilitate the printing process by reducing the warping phenomenon common to ABS.

Description

With Nanovia ABS AF, you can create 3D prints reinforced with aramid fibers that are lighter, stronger, and easier to print than native ABS.

Specifically developed for additive manufacturing, the population and length of aramid fibers in this acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) composite filament is suitable for most standard 3D printers.

Thanks to aramid fibers, Nanovia ABS AF achieves excellent 3D printing properties with limited warping and excellent adhesion to the bed.

Advantages

  • Lighter prints than native ABS
  • Higher mechanical resistance than native ABS
  • Low warpage during printing (even lower than carbon fiber composites)
  • Greater resistance to friction and impact
  • Less abrasive fiber than carbon and glass
  • It can be sanded with acetone

    Application recommendations

    Conservation

    • Store in an airtight container with desiccant, away from direct sunlight.
    • Dehydrate for 4 hours at 60°C before printing after prolonged exposure to humidity.

    Subsequent treatment

    • For outdoor use, we recommend varnishing the prints or treating them with a UV treatment, such as our Nanovia smoothing solution. Aramid fibers and ABS are sensitive to UV rays.

    Health and safety

    Press
It is recommended that Nanovia ABS AF be printed in a room with exhaust ventilation or with appropriate respiratory protection. Printing ABS produces a VOC derivative of styrene.
    Post-treatment
Standard PPE (dust mask, gloves) is recommended
    Certifications
    RoHS certification Nanovia ABS AF
