Magigoo Flex is specially designed for use in combination with flexible filaments.
The Magigoo Sticky Pen enables distortion-free and easily removable 3D printed components with flexible filaments from the print bed.
Good build plate adhesion during the printing process and easy release after printing. These are the main features of Magigoo adhesive pens. The Maltese manufacturer has now developed a wide range of adhesives, especially for almost all types of 3D printing filaments. The Magigoo Flex pen, which you can purchase here, is particularly suitable for flexible materials such as TPU or other flexible filaments. Important: We always recommend combining the right adhesive pen with the appropriate material. Otherwise, you may experience difficulties with build plate adhesion, causing the object to come off or stick too tightly, which can cause damage to the build plate surface.
TPU, TPE, and TPC describe a group of polymers sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubbers. Thermoplastic rubbers are available as copolymers or polymer blends, generally consisting of a plastic and a rubber. This produces both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. These materials have the advantage of being able to stretch to a certain extent. Furthermore, the materials have excellent thermal properties, material stability, chemical resistance, and excellent abrasion resistance. They are also cheaper to produce. As a result, flexible filaments are highly sought after in industrial applications. Some filaments have poor adhesion to conventional 3D printing surfaces and are highly susceptible to warping. Others tend to adhere too well to uncoated 3D printed surfaces, such as glass and PEI. Magigoo Flex is a specialized solution for FDM printing, designed to work with a variety of flexible filaments. Magigoo Flex acts as an intermediate layer between the build panel and the printed part.
Advice:
For larger prints we recommend a 20mm brim.
If the prints are sticking too much to the print bed, we recommend moistening the bed with a little water. Once the water has taken effect, removal should be much easier.
