Luvocom 3F PAHT CF 9891 is a filament from the German manufacturer Lehmann und Voss, which offers extremely high strength and stiffness.
The material is reinforced with carbon fiber and therefore offers high rigidity and load-bearing capacity. The filament allows for continuous load-bearing capacity of up to 150°C. The moisture absorption of the PA (polyamide; nylon) printing material is five times lower than that of comparable PA6 plastics. Furthermore, the moisture absorption saturation point is reached four times later than that of comparable materials (PA6).
Lehvoss polyamide 9891 is a blend based on PA12 . This means that the material also works underwater, for example, where PA6-based filaments often fail. In humidity, the filament also has slightly higher stiffness.
Due to the abrasive properties of the filament, we always recommend using a hardened tool steel nozzle or one with a gemstone tip. A conventional brass pressure nozzle would be subject to significant wear. Lehvoss recommends a nozzle with a diameter of at least 0.5 mm and a layer height of at least 0.2 mm.
