IANUS - Direct Energy Deposition

IANUS - Direct Energy Deposition

Contattaci per un preventivo

A multi-process system based on a robotic arm for maximum flexibility

MULTIPROCESS

It can be configured for different laser processes: Direct Energy Deposition with powder, Direct Energy Deposition with wire, Laser Welding, Laser Hardening

FLEXIBLE

Depending on the chosen configuration, it is possible to have a system capable of performing two laser processes, thanks to the possibility of easily changing the head

EASY TO INTEGRATE

Thanks to the integration with SIEMENS systems, on which this platform is based, the IANUS cell can be easily integrated with other machines already present in your factory

CONVENIENT

Excellent value for money, combined with a network of materials and consumables suppliers, as well as Prima Additive's application support to make the most of the system

The IANUS multi-process robotic cell is based on a system consisting of an Autonox robotic arm and a laser source, inserted inside a cell that boasts a working volume of 1600 x 1200 x 700 mm .

The peculiarity of this cell is the possibility of being configured for different laser processes such as Direct Energy Deposition based on the use of powder or on the use of metal wire as a starting material, but also other laser processes not necessarily in the additive manufacturing spectrum, such as laser welding (proximity or remote) and the laser tempering .

The name of this solution comes from the Latin god Ianus, also known by the Italian Janus, an iconic two-faced deity. Just as the god Janus has two faces, Prima Additive's IANUS robotic cell can also be configured to run two different processes (e.g. additive and laser hardening) in the same machine , using the same laser source or different laser sources on the same robotic arm.

Thanks to the possibility of installing two dedicated magazines, it is possible to switch from one application to another simply by changing the head installed on the robotic arm inside the machine itself. The head change therefore becomes similar to a tool change , increasing the flexibility of the system.
