Firewire® ABS-FR is a premium UL94 V-0 rated ABS that enables the printing of functional prototypes and production parts. This material is ideal for printing electrical housings, connectors, or any part requiring the thermal properties [up to 95°C] and flame-retardant characteristics of ABS.
Firewire® FR-ABS is manufactured using a premium UL94 V-0 rated ABS. Flame Retardant ABS is ideal for applications requiring UL94 V-0 flame retardancy.

Flame Rating (UL94):
- 1.5 mm: V-0
- 2.0 mm: V-0.5 VB
- 2.5 mm: V-0.5 VB
- 3.0 mm: V-0.5 VB
Recommended print settings:
- Extruder: 220-240°C
- Bed temperature: 100-110°C
- Bed Preparation: Magigoo Bed Preparation Adhesive or 3DXTECH Polyimide Tape give us the best results
- Heated chamber: Recommended, a chamber helps reduce warping and improves layer adhesion
- Supports: Water-soluble AquaTek X1 USM is ideal for complex parts.
- Drying instructions: 80°C for 4 hours.
Safety Note:
Direct ventilation is required to print Firewire Fire Retardant ABS. This grade has a much more pronounced odor during printing and is highly recommended for use in a well-ventilated area or with available HEPA and carbon filtration systems.
