VX1300 X: The Transition to Additive Mass Production

Voxeljet developed the VX1300 X as part of our ICP cooperative project "Industrialization of Core Printing." This 3D printer is designed for additive mass production that is unrivaled in terms of productivity and automation. A highly efficient process unit enables bidirectional coating and simultaneous printing of the building board. This allows the VX1300 X to achieve unprecedentedly short transfer times and high output volumes.
The VX1300 X offers maximum flexibility for batch production and can be used with various material systems. A fully automated finishing cell prepares complex sand cores for metal casting and integrates them into the existing casting process. The tool-free design of the sand cores allows for model changes at unprecedented speed. This is possible without time-consuming tool changes and production downtime.
The VX1300 X always keeps an eye on itself and its production. This is because it is equipped with redundant modules as standard for process reliability. In the event of a failure of individual system components, the VX1300 X can prevent downtime by switching on additional modules.
