AESUB 3D scanning spray is a chalk spray that evaporates on its own after a while. This makes it easier to scan complex surfaces.
In the 3D scanning field, there are often difficulties with glossy surfaces or transparent objects. The projected light refracts off the objects, and the image captured by the scanner cannot be clearly assigned to a specific geometry. In these cases, spray chalk helps. Using the chalk, the scanned objects are sprayed, resulting in a white, matte surface. Chalk sprays therefore greatly improve scan quality.
With many common chalk sprays, the objects are so dirty that the scanned object must be cleaned after scanning. The objects and their surroundings are contaminated and soiled by the color pigments. The chalk spray available here evaporates automatically after scanning. Cleaning the components is not necessary.
The manufacturer AESUB places particular importance on optimized material compatibility and maximum scannability. A thin layer is applied with a homogeneous surface, which evaporates again in less than four hours. This so-called sublimation depends on various factors. Temperature, surface, airflow, material used, and the thickness of the applied layer all play a role.
